 Post subject: M38 axel types and differences

Front - spicer 25 full floating ratio 5:38 to 1
Rear - spicer 44-2 semi floating ratio 5:38 to 1

Note - Spicer became Dana around 1946 though later military manuals still refer to spicer.

Note - You M38 types check those rear axels just behind the brake backing plate for ZERK fittings to grease those inner rear axel bearings.

Identifying front axel CV joint types for the M38. :shock:
